Finest ice cream in the world is from...

France...Berthillon!  Family owned, headquartered in Ile St. Louis, Paris but available in many bistros especially along Champs Elysees.  My favorite flavors are Chocolat (surprise?) and Framboise. The combination of deep dark chocolate with the tartness of berry is simply divine.  I was introduced to Berthillon by a French family when I went to their home in Paris for dinner and they served Berthillon for dessert - chocolat, gingerbread, framboise and coconut. I knew then that I've found the best ice cream in the world! Since Berthillon can't be purchased outside of France, I've managed to find solace in the Varlhona Chocolate ice cream from Ciao Bella, a chain in the U.S.
