Seoul - from Kimchi to Kalbi

Samwon Garden in Seoul has the best kalbi (short ribs).  They were succulent, tasty and had the right balance of meat and fat to make them absolutely delicious.  You cook them at your table, of course, exactly to your liking.
And those delicious short ribs are served with a greater variety of kimchi than most people in America know exists.

Later in our stay, we went to visit the Kimchi museum in the COEX mall in the Gangnam-gu neighborhood, where we were staying.  Korea has over 200 types of different kimchi's - from cabbage to turnips, mustard greens and even persimmons, I was awed by the sheer variety and inventiveness. Kimchi is also seasonal - different kimchi served at different seasons as well as regional. The different provinces of Korea serve up their own local creations of this popular side dish or should I say side dishes, since you often get more than one at a meal.

Also nearby is a Paris Baguette, which has a coffee bun that is really really good!
